Bardo Morales This is what Nu-Metal should always have been. Fresh, simple, well played, accessible but not for teenagers; heavy and direct and well produced. An enjoyable album overall.

Darknight I've been following Employed To Serve from day one and I've always liked them but this has got to be there most metal album yet. Love the sick downtuned riffage and as always Justine's vocals are perfect death metal styled from right out of hell. Conquering is the metal masterpiece we've all been waiting for. Favorite track: Sun Up To Sun Down.

themeegs Employed to Serve have been one of my faves since I found the video for "I Spend My Days (Wishing Them Away", and I'm beyond hyped for this new album. Favorite track: Mark Of The Grave.

Scholar Of Hyperion I'm really glad that I stopped hating on metalcore and actually gave it a chance. I used to absolutely lothe it because I would (erroneously) associate it with those emo/scence and screamo bands. That changed when I heard bands like Snapcase, Zao, and Converge. I was completely blown away and my perception of metalcore forever changed. And now here I am discovering ETS. I know it's still a preorder but 'Exist' was enough of a pitch sale. Hope to hear the rest. Favorite track: Exist.

about

Conquering, is a fully realised metamorphosis into the band they’ve always wanted to be. Drawing influence from the music of their youth and a new perspective on how to nurture the positive aspects of humanity and individual growth, Conquering is a celebration and acknowledgement of triumph in the face of a world that can be relentlessly adversarial.

Employed To Serve frontwoman Justine Jones says, “Conquering is about rising above adversity and self-doubt. We're really excited to share our latest album, I feel it's our best work to date. We wanted to go a more metal orientated direction with this album and see how far we could push our musical capabilities.”

ETS began recording the album in the “unforgiving winter” of 2020; produced & mixed by Lewis Johns at The Ranch, Southampton, mastered by Grant Berry at Fader Mastering, Employed To Serve took the time thrown at them by a world stopped still to write their most visceral material to date.
